VERGE

Why is it that time doesn't stop,
The oceans don't crumble,
And life can't be bought?

The ships are sailing far along,
Waters dancing to the symphony
Buried in the mariner’s song.
O brother mine, forgive me
For all what I did wrong.

Affliction beyond infinity;
Setting sail far from home,
In search of tranquillity
And I can hear the sea
Echoing with my wishes for
A fortunate stroke of serendipity.

O brother dear, hold my hand,
Guide me through the stairs
And let my miseries end;
Running for a piece of heaven,
With the blue expanse, I wish to blend.

All along while I was painting,
Filling my canvas crimson red,
With time I see it fading,
So I pour my blood instead;
Like a ruby it’ll glow, but your tears,
O brother - those shining pearls!
So precious enough to be shed.

I can hear the sky shrieking now,
Hounds barking around the maple tree,
I feel like a wildfire engulfing me within,
Chasing me into the endless sea.

Let’s hide our emotions brother
And pretend if this is just another story
From our grandfather’s old diary.
When the dawn strikes again
I shall be back to heal your pain,
And to bring back your smile.
Adios, till then…
