REMINISCENCE

There's a montage lying stranded o'er the bed
and I keep staring at it from the corner
breathing in reverberating reminiscence.
I know not how to tear it apart
but I know some pictures must fade;
I know not how to skip a heartbeat
but I know some feelings are better left unsaid.
So I keep staring at it from the corner
but every now and then I doubt my presence.
I can hear the serenade of the skies
and I turn around to find Silence peering
at my soul - frozen, calm and hallowed.
I know not how to tell sweat from tears apart
but I know life is only when they blend;
I know not how to calm Zeus down
but I know every storm must end.
So when I find Silence peering at my soul
I smile back for I want my pain overshadowed.
Here I stand alone pleading for a hand
to guide me through this labyrinth
of flesh and shredded emotions.
Precarious words dangling around
an atmosphere of cityscapes with fragile plinth
but I've lost you amidst all these commotions.
How I wish you didn't remove that veil
running along the grass away from dawn
knowing that I was a child of the dark.
All the chandeliers shattered behind us
how I wish that one splinter crippled me down
and all that'd have remained was one bloody mark.
Just beautiful..... Keep writing....
